Need a Commercial Contractor? Remember: Not All Bid Engines Are the Same

If you need a contractor for your home, you might head to Angie’s List or Home Advisor. But what if you need a commercial contractor, specifically for a finishing project? How do you find the right paint, drywall, or glass contractor who will keep their word and do great work?

You have options, but some are better than others.

Option 1: Browse home services websites.
These websites are a good way to get a big batch of contractors, but there are a few big downsides. Most home services sites cover residential work, so you’ll have to get pretty lucky to find a contractor that can tackle bigger commercial work. Second, while these sites began as referral-based companies, contractors can now pay to be on those websites, which dilutes credibility in a major way. And third, you’re doing all the work that goes into finding a contractor. That takes time.

Option 2: Dig through trade association websites.
Now we’re getting a little closer to what you need. Trade association websites have databases you can access, but it’s still on you to search through those lists to find reputable contractors and secure bids. Still too much work.

Option 3: Use Bid Evolution.
More so than any other option out there, we are a concierge service. The tedious work of finding a contractor is something you never have to worry about here. Once you contact us, we’ll schedule a one-on-one to get to know the ins and outs of your project. With those details in hand, we find at least two to three potential contractors for you to review that fit your exact need, timeline, and budget.
